I can feel an obsession blooming. I came across these while searching for a pair of wedges for the summer online. I think I'm in love. Unfortunately due to my current financial state (ie. I'm broke), they're just a bit out of my price range. But it doesn't hurt to look right?

Anyone have any suggestions for wedges I can actually afford?

Elbow

I was at Elbow a few weeks ago when they finished off their tour in Ireland. The only word possible to describe them is WOW. Guy Garvey is the ultimate gentleman of music and he blew me a kiss, made my night!

Romantics

Sorry about the erratic postings, my orals and practicals are rapidly approaching followed quickly by my final exams so stress is high. But after them comes the summer, which I cannot wait for. I spend my afternoons of double history dreaming about sun, festivals, floaty summer dresses, denim shorts, floral prints and London, where I will once again be returning for a few weeks during the summer. I've just discovered Juliette Hogan and I think I'm truly in love. No doubt her beautiful collection will be joining my ever-growing list of daydreams.

My Debs is coming up in August and while I haven't been dress shopping yet I've been trying to imagine what kind of dress I'd like. I've settled on a sort of emerald green colour and was thinking something along the lines of Keira Knightley's dress in "Atonement":

But then i saw this and fell in love. If only it was green.

Cold War Kids - Hospital Beds

I'm afraid I've been neglecting you a bit for the past few weeks. But my exams are almost over and I have a whole week of freedom, full of partying, shopping and glorious sleep and between that I'll be sure to fit in some time to do a bit of writing on this. I've also been thinking about doing some outfit posts and have a couple ready, now just to find the time! In the mean time here's a song to tide you over. I'm in love with his voice.

One Day I'll Fly Away

I'm suddenly struck with the urge to travel. It's like a type of wanderlust itching beneath my skin and all i want to do is get on a plane and fly to some unknown location and explore. I think it's my inner tomboy coming out. I want to go somewhere scorchingly hot, wear shorts and tank tops and climb mountains or explore forests. This sort of feeling overwhelms me every now and again and is so potent I can feel it running through my finger tips and toes. I want to go somewhere. Run along the Venice Beach boardwalk, bury my feet in the sand at Lake Tahoe or visit some unknown place like Thailand or Australia. Maybe these pictures will help calm these itchy feet for a time.

Snow day

Well I got up this morning and had just put my uniform on when my mum got a text that school was canceled due to the snow, thank God! Less than a foot of snow and the whole country comes to a stand still, not that I'm complaining. Since we had the whole day off I began with good intentions, planning to my English essay and some study but, surprise, surprise, I was distracted by Facebook and from there by the new Bershka winter line, which I came across while searching for possible Christmas presents. Everything looks so warm and wintery. I love this time of year.

Happy Birthday to Me

Wow, Prada perfume, a leather aviator jacket, Coco Chanel biography and Harry Potter all in one day. I love my birthday.


The leather jacket was a present to myself, it's real leather so it's soft to the touch and smells amazing. My parents got me a ticket to a festival next summer, I can't wait! Well, it was actually my birthday on the 18th but I've been so busy with school recently I've had no time to post. Thank God we're finished with exams, for now. I have a long weekend now so hopefully I'll have time to relax, and maybe see Harry Potter one more time! What an amazing series, I'm going to be so sad next summer when it all finishes but fingers crossed I'll get out to London for the premiere, that's the plan anyway!
